Shop by construction

How a carpet is made changes everything

Knot density, pile and backing determine durability, price and where a piece can be specified. Start with the construction that fits the project.

Curated by season and by use

Archive revivals, undyed naturals and contract-grade pieces — grouped so you can build a coherent range rather than a list of one-offs.

Our craft

Nine months on a loom, by hand

Every piece passes through the same three stages, in our own units and partner cooperatives.

  1. Design & graphing
    01

    Design & graphing

A pattern is drawn, then graphed knot by knot onto squared paper. A single 8×10 graph can run to 300,000 plotted knots.

  2. Spinning & dyeing
    02

    Spinning & dyeing

Wool is hand-spun, then dyed in small lots. Small batches are why the colour breathes across a field instead of sitting flat.

  3. Weaving & finishing
    03

    Weaving & finishing

Weaving, then washing, clipping, stretching and binding. A fine 6×9 takes two weavers the better part of nine months.

What our buyers say

Retailers, designers and procurement teams across 38 markets.

We switched our entire traditional range to Loomhouse two seasons ago. The reorder consistency is what sold us — a Bhadohi Classic ordered in March matches the one we bought in October.
Meera RaghavanHead of Buying, Anantara HomeMumbai, India
The CAD layouts and woven sample headers meant we could get client sign-off before anything went on the loom. That alone saved us three weeks on a 140-room refurbishment.
James OkonkwoProcurement Manager, Marlowe Hospitality GroupLondon, United Kingdom
An MOQ of four pieces on hand-knotted work is genuinely unusual. It lets me specify a bespoke carpet for a single residential project without carrying dead stock.
Priya SundaramPrincipal Designer, Sundaram InteriorsBengaluru, India
Freight was the thing I was most worried about importing from India. Three container loads in and every one has cleared Rotterdam without a documentation issue.
Lars VandenbergOwner, Vloerkleed AmsterdamAmsterdam, Netherlands
They talked us out of viscose for a restaurant floor and put us into wool instead, at a lower margin for them. That is the reason we still buy from them four years on.
Aisha RahmanDirector, Studio RahmanDubai, United Arab Emirates

Why Loomhouse

A supplier, not a marketplace

We weave what we sell. That means one point of accountability for quality, lead times and reorder consistency — and the ability to change a colourway without renegotiating with a third party.

  • Handcrafted in India

Woven in our own units in Bhadohi and Jaipur, and by partner cooperatives in Kutch and Mirzapur.

  • Flexible MOQ

From two pieces on fine hand-knotted work and twelve on entry-price flatweaves. Mixed-design cartons allowed.

  • Wholesale pricing

Trade pricing on every line, with three volume tiers per product and account-specific rates above 50 pieces.

  • Worldwide shipping

FOB Nhava Sheva or door-to-door DDP. Full export documentation, GSP certificates and container consolidation.

  • Quality checked

Every piece is measured, washed, clipped and inspected against a five-point check before it is rolled.
